1940 FORD DELUXE WOODIE - 1940 Ford Deluxe Woodie- If you are looking for a Woodie that checks all the boxes and a few that have not been written, this may be your car. 1940 Deluxe Woodie is one of the most desirable on the planet. Start with a strong foundation. A Lobeck chassis with all stainless components- a Ford DOHC 32 valve 4.6 engine crate motor- 4R70W electronic trans, all controlled and shifted thru the Ford ECU (this means serviceable at any Ford dealer). A stout Ford 9?rear with 4:10 John?s rear axle, all stainless exhaust plus brake and fuel lines, and of course 4 wheel disc and coil overs all around. We move to the custom body of Ash and striped Mahogany.
