I arrived back in Connecticut with no problems, and the gas mileage was a respectable 18 mpg. I am very pleased with the purchase, and the long trip back proves that the car is mechanically sound. Thanks for your kind and excellent support during our conversations. It was a big help for us since we bought the first time a car this way. But now that the caddy stands in our garage nearly everything seems to be ok. The car is nearly in the condition you described and showed us on the pics and we are absolutly happy with "him" - we just found a nickname for it. We decided to call him our "Bobbycar". It was a pleasure to drive the first 200 miles from Bremen to our hometown and it seems that it is the beginning of a wonderful time with washing the car, polishing the chrome, ..., .... and at least cruis? through Germany. I was wondering if you might be able to help me out one more time. On the dash is a mounted wired black device that looks like it held a GPS unit or something along the line of that was in there. I would like to buy and replace what ever unit was in there I just don't know what was originally in there. If you know I would really appreciate if you could let me know the name and model of what it was.
